April 11th, 2009 About Michelle Pier

Michelle Pier
Hello and Hafa Adai everyone! My name is Michelle Pier, and I am a lover of life. For the sake of describing myself, I will put to use some lovely labels, such as artist, writer, mother, speaker, creative consultant, entrepreneur, athlete, and adventurer.
I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Guam, and I am now raising my two beautiful little boys here as well. I am blessed with so many opportunities to pursue my love and passion of exploring the outdoors, such as hiking, going to the beach, sailing, running, doing yoga at sunrise, and otherwise just enjoying the breathtaking tropical scenery that I sometimes take for granted.
I have been creating art in the form of drawing, collages, painting, sketching, crafting, designing, building, and more since I could hold a crayon. At this time in my life, I have fully embraced my artist side, and am allowing myself to create what I desire, no matter how silly it may seem. I allow myself to take as many rest periods as I need, and just try my best to flow with the energy that runs through me. Forcing creation just doesn’t work, and I feel so blessed to realize that now! As far as formal studies go, I’ve always taken art classes in school given the opportunity, and I explored and studied art diversity while attending college in San Francisco for two years.
Over the last 5 years, I feel that a very deep and lasting spiritual transformation has been taking place. Basically, my life just kept unraveling, one thread after another. I struggled and agonized over it as it was taking place, but I could not see how I was creating it all in order to reweave the threads into the beautiful and meaningful life that I am living now. For the longest time, I just kept periodically asking “Why me? Why is it just one thing after another falling apart around me?” When I finally accepted the fact that I wanted to tear apart a lot of aspects that were just not working for me, only then could I focus on what it is that I DO want. It seemed the universe just smiled and said “Now were talking! Let’s make it beautiful Michelle, and enjoy every delicious minute of it!”

As I promised myself that my life career would form itself from my pursuit of doing things that I enjoy and love to do, the universe offered up ideas, inspirations, and opportunities to make it happen. All I had to do was say, “Yes!” or sometimes “No thanks, not quite right for me.” Inspired Living was born when I had a very clear Aha moment that demanded my attention. Inspiration struck, and I could not think, but only act. I knew that I wanted to share this message that I was hearing all around me from the universe. That we could ALL experience such love and beauty, no matter what our circumstances. That we ARE meant to live a life full of joy and contentment, and that we could choose in any moment to begin deliberately creating that life.
