Hello and hafa adai! Inspired Living writes to announce the commencement of the planning and organizing of the 2010 Luna Festival. Last year’s festival in October down at Jeff’s Pirates’ Cove was a smashing success. A celebration of art, music, holistic living, magic & imagination and costume! I’d like to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and of course all of those who attended the 2009 Luna Festival and made it the success that it was. We had over 500 people show up and this year we will expect to double that amount at least! Inspired Living aims to provide an outlet for the Guam community to come together to celebrate art, music, holistic living, family fun and magic. We hope that you’d love to participate in this year’s fun-filled event, to be held on Saturday, October 23rd from 2-8pm at Jeff’s Pirates’ Cove in Ipan, Talofofo.

Gold Sponsor: $1000 Package includes mentions in all radio advertisements as well as live, in-studio mentions, logo listed on all publications, on our website, facebook page and in email updates. Plus: bonus opportunities to display a large banner and/or company products at the entrance of the event, as well as frequent mentions throughout the event.
 
Silver Sponsor: $500 Package includes mentions in all radio advertisements as well as live, in-studio mentions, logo listed on all publications, on our website, facebook and in email updates, as well as mentions during the event.
 
Bronze Sponsor: $250 Package includes logo listed on all publications, on our website, facebook, and in email updates, as well as mentions during the event.
 
Donations and Volunteers: We are accepting donations of all kinds to be given away as raffle prizes throughout the event, and mentions and thanks will be given throughout the event, as well as on our website. We also need volunteers! If you would like to volunteer, please give us a call or email! We need your support in any way to make this event happen!
 
All sponsorship funds will go toward marketing and advertising costs, as well as booking entertainment. We sincerely appreciate all that you or your business can do to support the 2010 Luna Festival. We are accepting up to 60 vendors selling or displaying goods or services, as well as ongoing entertainment such as music, magic shows, skits, and dance/martial arts groups. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume. We will have yoga sessions for all ages, and some fun natural crafts for kids to get involved in. Jingles the clown and other guest appearances are expected. There will be an entrance fee of $5, or $2 if you’re in costume. Jeff’s Pirates’ Cove will be serving food and drinks all day and will be offering discounted gift shop items the day of the event. Help us make this day happen, we need your support!

Promotional Opportunities: Mentions on the radio, listed & linked on Inspired Living’s website (which receives thousands of hits a month), and mentions throughout the event. It is encouraged (but NOT required) that vendors contribute an item/service/gift toward the raffle to be given away during the event. Your business will get more mentions during these giveaways.

Vendor Guidelines:

• Vendor fee is non-refundable
• Neither Inspired Living nor Jeff’s Pirates’ Cove are responsible for weather conditions on the day of the event. We will do our best to accomodate everyone comfortably, but you are responsible for bringing a tarp or cover for your items if you are concerned about possible wind/rain.
• Please be respectful of the vendors around you.
• No drink sales and no food sales are allowed unless prepackaged (e.g. no lunch plates, hot dogs, etc.)

A Smashing Success!!

Despite the threat of stormy weather, hundreds of island residents headed to Jeff’s Pirates’ Cove in Ipan, Talofofo on Sunday, October 4th from 2-8pm for Luna Festival 2009. Presented by Inspired Living, created by artist, mother and entrepreneur Michelle Pier, the Luna Festival was to be held on the full moon, hence the name of the event. The weather was perfect, breezy with partly cloudy skies all day. 
 
A music, arts & crafts fair filled with magical entertainment from start to finish, the festival included something for guests of all ages. Many attendees came in costume, a feature of the event, which got them in free! Live music was provided by Kusinan Guahan, bringing together band members; Joe Cunningham, Shawn Wolford, and Joe McCarrol (son of JD Crutch). Sounds by Jesse Dydasco on the ukelele and by JR Jones, an island alternative band entertained the crowd as well.
 
The Rhythm Cheer Company wowed the crowd with their hip-hop cheerleading dance moves and stunts. Jingles the Clown made an energetic appearance, offering balloon art and smiles for the kids. Lord Jim the magician mystified the crowd with a gripping magic show that left the audience baffled. He even had a real rabbit! Olympia Terral offered a yoga session for kids big and small, giving kids and parents a relaxing break from the festivities. At the end of the day, the full moon rose right on the ocean horizon, offering a gorgeous spectacle for the evening.

Jeff’s main menu and bar were open and he also offered lunch plate specials fit for a king. Vendors of all kinds were selling and displaying their products and services. There were a variety of artists such as Viktoria Sayr, Rick Pa, Vince Salas, Barbara Perez, Carmen Costello, Joe Weaver and more. Crafters showcased handmade jewelry and gift items. Bill Cogan of Active Life Chiropractic displayed his services, as did Guamology Inc, Guam Animals In Need (GAIN), Micronesian Polynesian Handicraft, Gaia Eco*Solutions and JUS distributors. There was even a tarot card reader! A full list of vendors can be found on the Inspired Living website.
 
Inspired Living strives to offer fun opportunities for the community to come together in a positive way and will be hosting more events in the near future. Keep your ears tuned for a possible Christmas crafts fair, mini artshops, and of course, the 2nd annual Mother’s Day Retreat in May and Luna Festival 2010.
